Michael Jackson, born on the 29th of August 1958 was a multitalented entertainer who sang, danced and produced musical albums and was also an actor having performed in The Wiz. Jackson was a performer from childhood as a member of the Jackson 5 which later changed its name as a musical group to Jacksons.
Michael Jackson was especially popular during the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s with albums such as Off the Wall, Thriller, Bad and Dangerous.
In the mid 1990s Michael Jackson encountered controversy. It is interesting, however, that Jacksons career whilst did not perhaps reach the same success he had moments of great success. One example is the single You are not Alone which I understand went straight to number one. He was particularly successful when going on tour even after any controversies he was still the successful entertainer, it was apparent, however, that even when his album sales were not as significant as a live performer he was very much in demand.
